Young Fathers, Cocoa Sugar, Mini Review

Young Fathers
Cocoa Sugar
Mini Review

This third studio album by alternative pop trio Young Fathers was one that stayed in my mind for a long time thanks to what I would consider to be a now iconic album cover. Despite this, I never really found myself invested enough throughout the year to properly listen to the full album, but my interest arose once again after the release of a single that shared the albums title of "Cocoa Sugar" later this year.

With a sound that apparently was intended to be more accessible that the music on their two prior albums, I could certainly notice this thanks to the crisp production, the catchy verses and the hooks. however, there is still a lot of elements that also make this album unique. It certainly succeeded in getting me into the group.

Favourite Track: In My View

Going back to the subject of this album being a more accessible listen, I feel like this song is the best example of this. Its just so damn catchy and by far the most memorable of the tracks in my mind.

Thank you for reading.
